The proposed production process of D-xylose and glucose from waste and by-products of the sugar industry procedure was applied. The criteria used were quantified using the SuperPro Designer® version 9.0, Statgraphics Centurion version XVI, KeywordSpy and Excel software. It was concluded that the procedure was successfully applied and developed to validate, in this case, the production of D-xylose and glucose from bagasse from sugar cane. Moreover, this business opportunity evaluated, presented viable technical, economic and environmental indicators for the Cuban sugar industry.

El objetivo de este trabajo fue proponer un Procedimiento, para formular, evaluar y validar las oportunidades de negocios que se presenten en las instalaciones de la industria azucarera cubana. Se diseñó un Diagrama Heurístico teniendo en cuenta criterios técnicos, económicos, sociales, ambientales y factores de riesgos, aplicando herramientas de Análisis de Gestión Desarrollo para identificar las principales opciones de los procesos de producción industrial con alta eficiencia, en los balances de materia y energía, meta del Análisis Complejo de Procesos, que permite visualizar la mejor opción de negocio. Se aplicó el Procedimiento propuesto al proceso de producción de D-Xilosa y Glucosa a partir de residuos y subproductos de la industria azucarera. Los criterios usados fueron cuantificados usando los software SuperPro Designer® versión 9.0, Statgraphics Centurión versión XVI, KeyWordSpy y Excel.
