The object of this paper consists of carrying out a critical revision of the contributions of this school, concentrating on the conceptual framework that it has developed. For this, in the first place the influences that marked the regulation approach will be reviewed, with special attention on its recovery from the Marxist tradition. Secondly, the ontological and methodological differences between the regulation approach and the neoclassic economy theory will be highlighted. Thirdly, the fundamental concepts of the regulation school will be examined. In fourth place, it will be seen how, from these concepts, the crisis at the beginning of the 1970s was interpreted. In fifth place, how the regulation approach is thought as to the relation between economy and policy. In sixth place, the question of the international dimension will be examined. Finally, the main objections that have been presented to the regulation approach, will be shown and will be evaluatedcritically. |

La escuela francesa de la regulación se propone llevar a cabo un análisis del capitalismo y sus transformaciones, con el fin de comprender los períodos de crecimiento estable y los momentos de cambio estructural. El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en realizar una revisión crítica de los aportes de esta escuela, centrándose en el marco conceptual que ha desarrollado. Con este fin, en primer lugar se repasarán las influencias que marcaron el enfoque de la regulación, con especial atención a su recuperación de la tradición marxista. En segundo lugar, se destacarán las diferencias ontológicas y metodológicas entre el enfoque de la regulación y la teoría económica neoclásica. En tercer lugar, se examinarán los conceptos fundamentales de la escuela de la regulación. En cuarto lugar, se verá cómo, a partir de estos conceptos, fue interpretada la crisis de principios de la década de 1970. En quinto lugar, se analizará cómo el enfoque de la regulación piensa la relación entre economía y política. En sexto lugar, se examinará la cuestión de la dimensión internacional. Por último, se mostrarán las principales objeciones que han sido presentadas al enfoque de la regulación, y se las evaluará críticamente.
