La obra de Hugo Wenceslao Amable se caracteriza por interconexiones, entre- cruzamientos e interdiscursividades producto de su accionar en el campo intelec- tual. Sus actividades como escritor de la cultura le permitieron poner en contacto una diversidad de géneros discursivos que borran los límites de las formas puristas y tradicionales. Paradójicamente, las oportunidades para profundizar las caracterís- ticas que lo presentarían como un intelectual de la provincia se la había otorgado la censura y proscripción en tiempos de la autodenominada Revolución Libertado- ra, mientras que la temática y preocupaciones intelectuales los manifestaría en sus producciones ocasionales en publicaciones de corte nacionalista. En ese sentido, la importancia del intercambio epistolar de Amable con el escritor nacionalista Fermín Chávez nos permite indagar sobre la trayectoria intelectual del primero previa a su residencia en Misiones. Hugo Wenceslao Amable's literary work is characterized by interconnections, intertwining and interdiscursivities resulting from his actions in the intellectual field. His activities as a cultural writer allowed him to bring into contact a diversity of discursive genres that erase the limits of purist and traditional forms. Parado- xically, the opportunities to deepen the characteristics that would present him as an intellectual of the province had been granted by censorship and proscription in times of the self-styled Revolución Libertadora, while the subject matter and inte- llectual concerns would be manifested in his occasional productions in nationalist publications.
