Data of the larval stages are scarce so this work would contribute to the existing database in Argentina. |

Lycengraulis grossidens (anchoíta de río) presenta abundantes registros de estadíos larvales en el embalse de Yacyretá. El objetivo de este trabajo es caracterizar morfométrica y merísticamente los diferentes estadíos larvales de esta especie, para aumentar la base de datos disponible y facilitar la identificación taxonómica. Se tomaron muestras de tres estaciones de muestreo: Ituzaingó, Garapé e Itatí, ubicadas en la provincia de Corrientes (República Argentina) durante el período septiembre 2015 a febrero 2016. Se reconocieron tres estadíos larvales y se tomaron medidas morfométricas y merísticas básicas. Los caracteres merísticos permiten distinguir los distintos estadíos en esta especie, no así las características morfométricas, que son similares en los primeros estadíos. Los datos de los estadíos larvales son escasos, por lo que este trabajo contribuiría a la base de datos existente en Argentina.
