The monitoring has been performed fortnightly using a Tauber type gravitational trap in a sampling site corresponding to the central area in Posadas City, at six metres over the ground. Nineteen pollen types representing the surrounding vegetation (pavements, parks, squares, garden, unused lands) have been identified. In relation to pollen frequency in trees - shrubs, we can identify peaks in April, August and November. Herbs present a more uniform annual rhythm although their frequency increase in December- February. Poaceae, Asteraceae, Cyperaceae, Cecropia spp., are noticeable for being present all the year. A list with pollen types identified, tables and figures the annual relative frequency, as well as the corresponding annual calendar are presented. El objetivo del presente trabajo es dar a conocer los primeros resultados obtenidos durante un año de monitoreo (1993) de la lluvia polínica de un sitio de la ciudad de Posadas. Las muestras de polen se obtuvieron quincenalmente con un captador gravitacional tipo Tauber, ubicado en el área céntrica de la ciudad (calles Félix de Azara y Salta), a 6 metros de altura. En el análisis de las muestras de lluvia polínica se identificaron hasta el momento 19 tipos polínicos, representativos de la vegetación circundante, que agrupamos en las categorías de árboles-arbustos y herbáceas para una mejor apreciación de su dinámica anual. Con respecto a la frecuencia polínica de árboles-arbustos podemos señalar picos en abril, agosto y noviembre. Las herbáceas, en cambio, presentan un ritmo anual más uniforme aunque aumentan su frecuencia en el período diciembre-febrero. Poaceae, Asteraceae, Cyperaceae y Cecropia spp. se destacan por estar presentes durante todo el año. Se presenta una lista de los tipos polínicos identificados, tablas y figuras de frecuencia relativa anual y calendario polínico.
