This research revealed some results from the higher-order signal analysis of mechanical vibrations, communications signals and noise corrupted signals, evaluating the benefits of the different applications. Effectiveness of the implementations was proved through real and computational simulation experiments. El trabajo que se presenta tiene el objetivo de introducir y mostrar lo efectivo que constituye la utilización de técnicas de procesamiento estadístico de orden superior de señales para aplicaciones en las que técnicas clásicas no resultan efectivas. En particular, en esta investigación se presentan los resultados del análisis estadístico de orden superior de vibraciones mecánicas, señales de comunicación y señales contaminadas por ruido, evaluando la conveniencia de su empleo. La efectividad de las técnicas implementadas fue demostrada a partir de estudios experimentales reales y de simulación computacional.
