The objective of this work is to analyze the situation of environmental and socioeconomic factors, related to the watershed of the Piray Miní stream, and to propose a scheme of payments for hydrological ecosystem services for the conservation and restoration of ecosystems. Regarding the materials and methodologies, background analyzes and interviews were carried out; and their own reflections on the subject. The survey of reference watersheds was carried out with the Geographic Information System and land inspections were carried out. As results, environmental, social and economic factors and compensation mechanisms for ecosystem services in force in Argentina were characterized; proposing the assessment and implementation of a compensation scheme for ecosystem services for the watershed of the Piray Miní stream. It is concluded that it is very necessary to implement the proposals to achieve the conservation of the properties that provide hydrological ecosystem services. |

Para promover la conservación y restauración hidrológica forestal de los ecosistemas ubicados en la cuenca hidrográfica del arroyo Piray Miní, que abastece de agua a Eldorado, se requieren mecanismos de compensación económica a los propietarios de los predios que brindan servicios ambientales a la sociedad. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar la situación de los factores ambientales y socioeconómicos, relacionados a la cuenca hidrográfica del arroyo Piray Miní, y proponer un esquema de pagos por servicios ecosistémicos hidrológicos para la conservación y restauración de los ecosistemas. Con relación a los materiales y metodologías, se realizaron análisis de antecedentes y entrevistas; y las propias reflexiones sobre la temática. El relevamiento de cuencas hidrográficas referenciales fue realizado con el Sistema de Información Geográfica y se ejecutaron inspecciones terrestres. Como resultados, se caracterizaron los factores ambientales, sociales y económicos, y los mecanismos de compensación por servicios ecosistémicos vigentes en la Argentina; proponiendo la valoración e implementación de un esquema de compensación por los servicios ecosistémicos para la cuenca hidrográfica del arroyo Piray Miní. Se concluye que es muy necesario implementar las propuestas para lograr la conservación de los predios que brindan servicios ecosistémicos hidrológicos.
